Voice channels that appear on demand

Set up a voice hub and Packet keeps the room count right for you. Clone / overflow (the default): your hub channel stays a normal channel, and Packet always keeps one spare numbered channel ready (like "Lounge 1"), so there's a free spot as people pile in and the extras clean up when they empty. Personal: joining the hub gives each member their own channel with a control panel to rename it, set a user limit, lock it, permit or kick people, or hand it off. On demand: tie a category to a role, and members with that role run /voice create to spin up their own channel there — named how they like and gated to just the people you choose. However you run it, the extra channels are managed by Packet and never clutter your setup. Set it up under Configure → Voice.

Discord

Get Packet updates in your server

Want to hear about new Packet features and changes without watching this page? Turn on Packet updates under Configure → Packet updates, pick a channel, and Packet will post its announcements there — optionally pinging a role you choose (pair it with a Role Caller button so members opt in to the ping themselves). It's per server and off by default, so nothing shows up unless you ask for it, and you can turn it off any time.

Discord

Support tickets

Packet now does support tickets. Add a panel with a button; when a member clicks it, Packet opens a private channel just for them and your staff — the permissions are written for you, so a ticket can't accidentally leak to the whole server. Manage them from a real helpdesk console: set a priority, assign a ticket to a staff member, add tags, then filter, search, and sort to surface what needs you — tickets that have been waiting too long are flagged, and an "⏳ awaiting your reply" badge floats a ticket to the top the moment a member writes back and no one's answered yet, so nothing slips. Turn on priority ordering for a desk and Packet keeps its open ticket channels sorted right in Discord too — urgent at the top — so staff can triage top-down in the server, not just on the dashboard. Staff claim, close, and reply to a ticket right in Discord or from the dashboard (a reply posts in the ticket for the member to see — optionally under a single "Support" identity instead of individual staff names). Save canned responses and drop one into a reply in a click. Optional touches: a short questionnaire before opening, an inactivity auto-close, a per-member limit so no one can flood you, and an "archive, then delete after a set time" cleanup so closed tickets tidy themselves up. Give a ticket its own private voice channel too — either on demand (a "🔊 Open voice" button in the ticket) or automatically for every ticket — joinable only by the opener and your staff, and removed when the ticket closes. Set it up under Configure → Tickets. Run several servers? The Tickets hub in the top nav gathers the open tickets from every server you manage into one place — triage them all without hopping between servers, with analytics across your whole fleet: how big your backlog is, how many you've closed, how fast you first respond and how fast you resolve them (and whether that's speeding up), a daily opened-vs-closed trend, and which servers and desks carry the load. Turn on a satisfaction survey and Packet asks the member to rate their support 1–5 stars (with room for a comment) when their ticket closes — then your analytics show your CSAT score, a breakdown by staff member and by desk, and a review list of anyone who left a low rating. Turn on the conversation view for your server (Configure → Tickets) and staff can open a ticket in the dashboard, read the whole thread right there, and reply without leaving the page — pulled live and never stored, so what you see is always current, and kept to ticket channels only for easy management and record-keeping.

Site

Your server list stays loaded

Packet now automatically refreshes its connection to Discord, so your list of servers keeps loading instead of failing after you've been signed in a while. If the connection ever does drop, there's a one-click "Reconnect Discord" button — no more logging out and back in.

Editor

AutoMod setup got a reference panel

The AutoMod section now has a "Reference & presets" panel. One-click presets set up the common jobs — block invite links, filter outside links while still allowing native GIFs, block a word list, profanity filtering, mention-spam protection — each ready to tweak. There are copy-and-edit snippets for building allow-lists (letting specific sites, IPs, or invites through), pattern examples, and a plain-language regex cheat-sheet. So setting up filters no longer means guessing at syntax.

Editor

Insert roles and channels from a list

The Configure page's "one per line" role and channel boxes — AutoMod exemptions, protected roles, and onboarding — now have an "Insert a role…" / "Insert a channel…" picker beside them. Pick from your server's real names instead of typing them by hand, so there are no typos and you don't have to remember exact names.

Moderation

Moderation now watches Discord's own actions

When someone bans, kicks, or times a member out through Discord's own menu — or Discord's AutoMod times a member out — Packet records it as a case too, so /mod history shows the full picture, not just the actions taken with /mod. Those actions also count toward the escalation ladder, so a repeat offender is handled automatically even when no moderator is around to run a command. If a member's messages repeatedly trip AutoMod in a short span, that's rolled up into a single strike too — so someone hammering blocked content still escalates (you choose how many blocks, over how many minutes). If you also use Packet's Logging feature, AutoMod's own timeouts and quarantines now show up in your log channel too. Turn "also track Discord's own actions" on or off, set the block thresholds, and choose how many days back the ladder counts, in Configure → Moderation.

Moderation

Warn, mute, kick, and ban — with memory

Packet now has a full moderation toolkit. Use /mod warn, /mod mute, /mod kick, and /mod ban (plus /mod purge, /mod slowmode, and /mod unban) to handle trouble right in Discord — each action is DMed to the member with the reason and kept as a numbered case. /mod history shows a member's record, /mod case looks one up, and /mod pardon clears a warning. Set up an automatic escalation ladder — say, mute at 3 warnings, kick at 5 — and Packet applies it for you, while protected staff roles are never auto-actioned. Bans can be temporary and lift themselves. Turn it on in the dashboard's Configure → Moderation section.

Editor

Channel names format themselves as you type

Discord lowercases text-channel names and turns spaces into dashes ("Choose your color" becomes choose-your-color). The visual editor now applies that format as you type, so the name you save is exactly the name Discord creates — and re-applying your blueprint updates that channel instead of making a duplicate. Voice, stage, and category names keep their capitals and spaces, just like in Discord.

Editor

Generate a server with AI in one message

The AI Blueprint page has a new Quick prompt: describe your server in a paragraph and get the whole blueprint back in a single reply — no back-and-forth, so it fits a limited or free AI model. The page also points you at the cheapest path when you're low on AI usage: apply a starter template, then use the Edit existing prompt to tweak it. And the prompts now know every Packet feature — including social alerts and activity logging — so the AI can set those up for you too.

Editor

Starter templates now set up Packet's features for you

Pick a starter and get a server that's ready to go — not just channels and roles, but Packet's features already turned on: self-serve role pickers, custom name colors, a welcome greeter, weekly backups, and spam/word filtering out of the box. The gaming, creator, study, and minimal starters each lean into what that kind of server needs — activity roles that group players by the game they're in, go-live and new-video alerts for creators, a daily goal check-in for study servers, community suggestion polls, and more. Everything stays editable after you apply, so a starter is a head start, not a cage.

Apply & safety

The role-position problem is caught before anything changes

If Packet's role sits too low in your server's role list, an apply used to get partway through and then stop when Discord refused to reorder roles. Packet now spots this up front: the preview refuses with the exact fix — drag the Packet role above every role it manages (the top of the list always works) — before a single change is made. The Administrator permission doesn't affect role order, so the drag is the real fix.

Apply & safety

Clear reasons when an apply can't finish

When an apply fails for something you can fix — like Packet's role sitting too low in Server Settings → Roles, or a missing Manage permission — Packet now tells you exactly what happened and how to fix it, everywhere: in the slash-command reply, on your server's Status page when you come back later, and on the apply screen. No more bare "failed" with the reason lost once the live stream is gone.

Discord

See who did what — server activity logging

Packet can mirror your server's activity to a log channel and the dashboard. Turn on Logging in Configure to record joins and leaves, bans, kicks and timeouts, role, channel, emoji, webhook and server-setting changes, nickname edits, and AutoMod rule edits — attributed to who did it via the audit log — plus members using Packet's own features (role pickers, color picks, temporary roles, and more). Each log entry shows the person who did it as its author (the mod-log look) and spells out exactly what changed (renames, added or removed permissions, hierarchy, slowmode, and so on). A member's rapid multi-select picks collapse into one tidy entry, and your dashboard actions (apply a blueprint, take a snapshot) can post to the log channel too. Route each category to its own channel, exempt staff channels or roles, choose who each message posts as, set how long the dashboard keeps the history, and watch it all live on your server's Status page with a filter. No message content is ever logged.

Messages

Go-live & new-post alerts

Announce when a creator goes live or posts — your own channels or your favorite creators. Packet watches Twitch and Kick (live), YouTube uploads, Reddit, GitHub releases, Steam game updates, Bluesky, Mastodon, and any RSS/Atom feed, and posts to the channel you choose, exactly once per stream or post. Choose how it looks per alert: a link preview (Packet posts the link and lets Discord build its rich preview — the image and summary straight from the page, like posting the link yourself; best for videos, news, and posts) or a Packet card (a custom embed; best for live streams). Customize the message, ping a role, filter by game or title keyword, and set a cooldown — all included, no add-on. A Twitch or Kick watch can even give a member a "live" role while they're streaming. Set it up on the Configure page under Social alerts, send a test alert to preview it, and see the Guide for the full platform + variable list.

Discord

Send feedback right from Discord

Tell the team what's working (or not) without leaving Discord — run /packet feedback or tap Feedback on the welcome message, pick a category, and type your message. It lands in the same inbox as the dashboard's Feedback page, and we'll DM you if there's a follow-up.

Apply & safety

Smoother applies on Community servers

Adding an AutoMod rule (like mention-spam) now updates Discord's built-in one in place instead of erroring on the per-server limit, and switching a server off Community no longer fails on the welcome screen or onboarding.

Discord

Take a guided tour, right in your server

New to Packet? Run /packet start or /packet tutorial and Packet builds an in-depth tour inside your own server — a channel per feature with screenshots, the exact blueprint behind each one, live examples you can click (try the role and color pickers!), and previews of welcomes, scheduled posts, and more. Keep it visible to everyone or only to a role you choose, and remove the whole thing — demos and all — with one button when you're done.

Site

Personalize the look

Make Packet yours in Settings → Appearance: pick an accent color the whole app follows, choose a living background — a hex light-field that can glow, pulse, or breathe in the color you pick — and set how solid the panels are so text stays easy to read.

Site

A more visual site

The homepage, Guide, Roadmap, Commands, and this page got an illustrated refresh, and the whole visual system follows the accent color you choose.

Site

A guide to every feature

A friendly Guide in the nav walks through everything Packet can do, plus the message variables you can use — like {user} and {memberCount} — in welcomes, scheduled posts, and more.

Roles

The Role Caller

Post a message where members click buttons (or pick from a dropdown) to add and remove their own roles. Use several pickers to split menus by topic, style them, and use your server's own custom emoji.

Roles

Auto-assign roles on join

Give every new member a starter role automatically.

Roles

Color roles

Offer a preset palette members pick from — arrange it, sort it by shade, and let it grow across multiple menus — or let members choose any custom name color. Packet keeps the bookkeeping tidy and places color roles where the color shows.

Roles

Activity roles

Auto-assign a hoisted role while a member is playing a game or using an app like Spotify, so the member list groups people by what they're doing.

Roles

Sticky & temporary roles

Restore a member's roles when they rejoin, and grant roles that automatically expire.

Roles

Role bands

Organize your roles into purpose groups — staff, color, activity, members — and keep them ordered correctly with one click.

Messages

Welcomes, goodbyes & ban notices

Greet members when they join, and post a message when they leave or are banned — plain text or a rich embed card.

Messages

A pinned welcome panel & welcome DMs

Keep a rules/welcome board pinned and in sync, and optionally DM new members when they join.

Messages

Scheduled messages

Post recurring announcements on a schedule — every few hours, or on set days and times in your timezone.

Messages

Embeds, variables & mentions everywhere

Drop in {user}, {server}, {memberCount}, and more; ping a role with @RoleName or link a channel with #channel-name — in welcomes, scheduled messages, and forum posts.

Forums

Set up a forum from Packet

Configure a forum end to end — tags, a default reaction, post guidelines, and a pinned (and locked) first post — with no manual Discord steps.

Forums

Community polls

Let Packet run an engagement loop: it opens polls of the top posts, announces the winner, can run a follow-up vote, and archives stale threads. Polls can run on a set day and time, with custom announcements and a one-click "run now."

Moderation

AutoMod in your blueprint

Manage Discord's native keyword, spam, profanity, and mention-spam filters from your blueprint — set triggers, actions, and exemptions.

Editor

A full visual editor

The Configure tab edits your roles, channels, categories, and permissions point-and-click — rename, add, remove, drag to reorder, collapse categories, and set both per-role permissions and per-channel and per-category overrides. A "pending changes" panel shows in plain English what your edits will do before you save.

Editor

AutoMod in the editor

Discord's AutoMod is editable point-and-click in Configure — add rules, choose their triggers and actions, set exempt roles and channels, and preview the change before you apply.

Editor

Onboarding in the editor

Set up Discord's "Customize Your Server" onboarding from Configure — choose the channels every new member starts with, and add question prompts that assign roles and unlock channels based on what each member picks.

Editor

Permission presets

Build reusable named permission sets right in the editor — pick the flags once, give the set a name, and reference it from any channel or role.

Editor

Build your whole server with AI

The AI Blueprint page hands you a copy-pasteable prompt for any AI chat — build a server from scratch or refine an existing one through a guided conversation. It sets up Packet's features too, and designs sensible channel permissions. Packet never sends anything to an AI itself — you choose the chat and paste the result back.

Editor

Author with confidence

The editor has autocomplete, inline validation, and a Reference sidebar with worked examples for every field. Snippets drop straight into the right place, and you can start from scratch, from a template, by pulling your live server in, or by pasting your own.

Editor

Templates, private & per-server

Save a working setup as a reusable starting point — scoped privately to you or shared with your server — and apply it whenever that look comes back around. Mirror a setup across servers you manage.

Apply & safety

See every change before it happens

Every apply opens on a plain-language summary — what gets created, renamed, moved, edited, reordered, or removed — and previews automatically before you commit. Watch the apply stream live, step by step, with timing for each. Nothing touches your server until you click Apply.

Apply & safety

Removed channels & roles are archived, not deleted

Your safety net by default — a removed channel or role is set aside, not destroyed, so nothing is lost by accident.

Apply & safety

A snapshot before every apply

Packet backs up your server before every apply, plus optional scheduled automatic backups that capture your whole server on a timer. Restore any snapshot if something looks wrong.

Apply & safety

Typed confirmation & a pause switch

A typed confirmation guards any destructive delete, and a pause switch stops applies cleanly during maintenance with a clear notice.

Apply & safety

Reliable applies

Applies hold up through tricky cases — name swaps, Community channels, duplicate channel names, and bot restarts — and Packet won't run two applies on one server at once.

Apply & safety

Restructure without losing message history

The Migrate panel pairs blueprint entries to your live channels, so renaming channels and reorganizing categories renames and reparents in place instead of delete-and-recreate — your messages stay put. Match blueprint roles to existing roles, or rebuild from scratch for a clean slate.

Discord

Packet in Discord

The same flows are available as slash commands in any channel where the bot has access — searchable dropdowns, a menu you can navigate, the same safety gates, and your apply's status shown right in Discord. The Commands page lists every command and who can run it.

Discord

Welcome screen & server widget

Set Discord's invite-time welcome screen and the embeddable server widget — with a copy-ready embed builder for your site.

Discord

More server settings

More server-level options — like safety-alert and system channels — are now part of the blueprint and apply cleanly.

Site

A polished, findable home

A refreshed landing page, About, and Roadmap; a site icon and rich link previews when you share a Packet link; a live "what Packet's doing" bot status; and a clear, clickable path through the workspace.

Site

Your data, your control

Export or delete the data Packet holds about you any time from Settings, and read the Terms and Privacy Policy linked in the footer.

Apply & safety

The foundation

Underneath it all: the blueprint → diff → snapshot → apply engine, access scoped to your Discord role permissions, and safety checks before anything changes — with a snapshot to restore from if it doesn't go as planned.
