Discord's native AutoMod, in your blueprint: keyword filters, username (member-profile) filters, the built-in profanity / sexual-content / slur presets, spam blocking, and mention-spam limits. Each rule has its own exempt roles and channels and its own actions (block the message, send a staff alert, time the member out, or quarantine them). (Configure → AutoMod.)

Discord runs these rules itself, so they keep working even while Packet is offline. Open Reference & presets and Insert one of the common rules, such as Block invite links or Profanity, slurs & sexual content, then adjust it, or build a rule from scratch. Each rule has a Name, a Trigger and one or more actions:

  • Keyword filter blocks messages with your words, phrases or patterns. A server can have up to 6, each with up to 1,000 words and 10 patterns, plus an allow-list of words that are never flagged.
  • Preset wordlist uses Discord's own Profanity, Sexual content and Slurs lists.
  • Spam blocks messages Discord judges to be spam.
  • Mention spam blocks a message with more mentions than your limit, up to 50.
  • Member profile quarantines a member whose name or profile matches your words.

The last four are one per server each. A rule can leave out up to 20 roles and 50 channels. Block the message can show the member a notice of up to 150 characters, a staff alert goes to the channel you pick, and a timeout lasts up to 28 days. Packet's own spam watch, for one member posting the same message across several channels, is a separate automatic protection under Moderation. The rules Packet keeps for those protections show here locked: change them under Moderation. A rule you remove is deleted from Discord on a Full apply, and the apply asks you to type a confirmation first.
