Channel automation

Browse the guide

Pick a channel and choose what Packet does with each new message posted there. In an announcement channel it can publish each message, so it reaches every server that follows the channel. It can add reactions, up to five, your own server emoji included. And it can open a thread on each message, named with {user} for whoever posted it. Messages from other bots and from Packet itself are left alone unless you switch them on for that channel.

Discord lets a channel publish 10 messages an hour, so past that Packet skips publishing until the hour has room. Packet needs Manage Messages to publish, Add Reactions to react, and Create Public Threads to open threads. The plan tells you if its role is missing one. Packet never reads or keeps what a message says.

A channel can also keep a sticky message at the bottom. After new messages, Packet posts it again and deletes its own last copy. It waits until the channel has been quiet for 15 seconds, posts at most 30 times an hour, and never pings anyone.
