Opt in to Packet's own announcements. Pick a channel and Packet posts new features, fixes, and news there as a clean, managed message, so you find out what's new without leaving your server. Add a ping role if you want members notified. (Configure → Packet updates.)
Tick Receive Packet updates in this server and name the Updates channel: without a channel, nothing posts. Ping role (optional) mentions a role on each update. Pair it with a role menu so members choose for themselves whether to be pinged. The section shows a live preview of a sample update. If Packet corrects an update, it edits the message in place without pinging again, and an update Packet takes back is deleted from your channel. Updates wait for your active hours. Off by default, and turning it off stops future updates.
