Welcome screen & server widget

Browse the guide

Discord's invite-time welcome screen (a description plus up to five channel shortcuts) and the embeddable server widget, both kept in sync, with a copy-ready embed builder for the widget. (Configure → Welcome & widget.)

The welcome screen is the panel a new member sees when they accept an invite. Tick Enable the welcome screen, write a Description of up to 140 characters, and add up to five Channel shortcuts. Each shortcut is a channel, a blurb of up to 50 characters and an emoji, like #rules with "Read these first". It needs Community on, and each shortcut has to be a channel @everyone can see, which Packet checks before it applies. Untick it and your saved settings stay for next time. On a server where the screen is set up, turning it off asks you to type a confirmation when you apply.

The server widget is the box that shows your online member count and can hand out an instant invite, on your website or a server listing. Tick Enable the server widget and pick an Invite channel (optional) for the invite to lead to, or leave it empty for no invite. Under Embed it elsewhere, Packet writes the snippets for you: a Website embed to paste into your site's HTML, dark or light and any size; an Image badge in five styles that refreshes every few minutes; and the Data feed Discord serves, which most listing sites read for themselves. They work once the widget is on and you have applied.
